Victoria Beckham in 50s style photoshoot and insists her body is the same as a ‘normal woman’ (PHOTOS)

Victoria Beckham is an impressive woman. After rising to fame in a girl band she bagged a footballer,  had 4 kids and reinvented herself as a successful fashion designer worn by a host of celebrities. Victoria also looks fantastic, but not without hard work.

The 37-year-old has appeared in a series of swimwear for Harpers Bazaar showing off her tiny frame. She admitted that she thinks her body is that of a normal woman, so much so that instead of using models for her clothes she uses her own measurements to fit her dresses.

VB tells Harpers:

“We always joke that we have this fabulously gorgeous 17-year-old model who is six-foot-whatever and I say, ‘OK, I’m going to put it on — I stand for the general public here.’

Victoria takes her diet seriously. I read an article in the Guardian recently which relayed a story from a journalist who attended a charity dinner with Ms Beckham. The main course was steamed fish and vegetables and Victoria asked for no cherry tomatoes as they were too high in sugar. Who has such a strict diet that they will not eat tomatoes!

She snakes on edamame beans and frozen grapes when she is hungry and drinks champagne as it is lower in calories than wine.

The photo shoot itself is very Elizabeth Taylor and shows Victoria reclining on a stone garden bench in a high waisted 50s style green two piece.

A host of celebrities, inculding Eva Longoria and Kelly Rowland, love Victoria’s fashions but it is Tilda Swinton that made the designer swoon, she finds her ’intriguing, very stylish, she clearly understands fashion’.

The full feature appears in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, on sale Monday 2nd April and can be read online here
