Britain’s Got Talent 2012: Tulisa Contostavlos performs new single “Young” in awful shorts dress (PHOTOS)

So Tulisa is apparently the sexiest woman in the world – not tonight she wasn’t! The X Factor judge performed her new number one hit single “Young” on tonight’s first live show and it is fair to say that she looked awful. Tulisa wore what can only be described as a dress/shorts/gladiator combo.

Contostavlos wore what initially looked like a blush pink body con dress with a slightly longer chiffon skirt at the back. The bodice of the dress was a little like a gladiator vest with black piping. That was quite bad and did nothing for her figure – the fact that she wore it with flat gladiator sandals just made it worse. Tulisa has quite stumpy legs and she definitely needs heels. However, just when you thought that it could not get worse, she ripped off the skirt to reveal some shiny hotpants and a bra top.

The outfit did nothing for her, it made her legs look pudgy and was really quite shockingly unflattering, the length, the cut, the colour – everything. It cut her in all the wrong places and the red hair pieces were just random. If there was ever a reason to sack the stylist this is it.

To make matters worse, the song was forgettable and the dance moves truly awful. She looked awkward on stage and it was a little embarrassing for all. All I could think while watching her was that she has a cheek to judge anyone’s singing on X Factor. It was a perfect example that money cannot buy you style.
