X Factor 2011: Check out the photos of Cheryl Cole’s new blonde hair cut – it’s a bob! (PICTURES)

So we knew that Cheryl had gone for the chop – cutting Ashley Cole right out of her hair hopefully – not there is actual pictorial evidence!

Cheryl loves her big hair, we we can see from the photos of the Girls Aloud singer at the first X Factor USA auditions when she looked like she had a lion’s mane.

Perhaps as a result of the criticism the Girls Aloud singer got because of this look, it seems that Cheryl has cut her hair to just above her shoulders, dyed it a honey blonde with feathered ends. She was spotted at the American Embassy yesterday with the new ‘do’.

It is standard female behaviour we think. Everyone in the office has at one point changed their hair as a result of a break up or losing a job and its seems that the 27-year-old Promise Me singer is no different!

We showed you Cheryl Cole’s new L’Oreal campaign for Elnett hairspray for their 50th anniversary which showed the Geordie star with a huge gravity defying bouffant. She won’t be able to do that anymore!

Cheryl turns 28 today and will celebrate tomorrow with a £20,000 party so perhaps this sleeker look is the new, more mature Cheryl!

Are we mistaken or has Cheryl also slimmed down a little? Perhaps her time spent with Tracey Anderson working?
