The Only Way is Essex: Billie Faiers loses a stone in a month with Closer diet!
Yesterday we did an article about The Only Way is Essex star Sam Faiers modelling in cricket gear. We noticed that she had lost weight but wondered if it was the wonders of air-brushing. Now we wonder if she has been on the same diet as her sister Billie Faiers!
Billie Faiers has been following the same diet as Daybreak’s weather girl Kirsty McCabe who lost 2st after having a baby. Billie has followed the Closer diet for a month:
“I’ve just got back from Dubai with my boyfriend [car dealer Dave Bygraves, 23] and I was really proud to show off my new figure on the beach,”

We spotted Billie doing kettlebells in a local park before her summer holidays. The 21-year-old wore a tight and unflattering pair of shorts and low cut vest so we hope it was just to grab the headlines in preparation for this article!
Billie thought that she had been binging on junk food on the set of the hit ITV2 reality TV show which made her feel heavy and bloated. She underestimated how many pounds she had put on – she thought it was about 4 when it was actually a stone!
Closer’s diet is high protein which should make her feel fuller for longer. Protein is also essential to build muscle.
“My arms and thighs looked chubbier and I had a bit of a belly. I wasn’t fat, but I did feel heavier.”

Billie worked out with a personal trainer and followed a four week plan. The hour long sessions were difficult for Billie considering she had never exercised before in her life. She almost threw up the first time – Jillian Michaels from The Biggest Loser would be thrilled! At StyleJacking we are currently doing a 12 week programme with Matt Roberts (we are on week 5 and loving it) so we know how she feels!
“It was difficult as I love bread and pasta, but carbs were off the menu. But after a few days I had more energy and when I could see the change in my body it was easier to stick to.”
The real problems begin when you have to make it a part of your lifestyle, when you don’t have a magazine interview to do or a personal trainer… Billie said that her Mum cooks and we all know what Mum’s are like, mine tries to feed me chocolate before she says hello!
“Mum’s the cook at home, so for breakfast she made smoked salmon and scrambled eggs, and grilled chicken salad with balsamic vinegar for lunch. I still had Bolognese sauce for dinner, but without pasta, or steak with lots of veg.”
The TOWIE star noticed a physical change in her body within the week with her body tightening up all over although she promises that she will make her eating and exercise plan a part of her life so that she will stick to it. It isn’t rocket science really. We all know the equation, you have eat fewer calories than you burn off to lose weight. Simples.
