Supermodel Lily Cole gets double first class from Cambridge – no wonder Elle Macpherson wants her on Top Model!

Anyone who gets a double first class honours from Cambridge deserves respect. You imagine that the successful student will be spending hours and days and nights in front of a computer studying. Yet supermodel Lily Cole managed to juggle a successful modelling career with a degree and picked up a double first class honours in History of Art from Cambridge.

It is no surprise that Elle Mcpherson admitted at the press launch of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model that she wanted Lily on the judging panel!

The 23-year-old managed to achieve the highest possible honour in the course at one of the UK’s top universities!

Lily was scouted when she was just 14 and has since worked for the top fashion houses, Chanel, Versace, Alexander McQueen, Jean Paul Gaultier and Louis Vuitton are all on her CV.

Lily also fronted a successful advertising campaign for Rimmel, like Kate Moss, and has appeared in Doctor Who and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. The 23-year-old is now a millionaire.

The hard working model also got A grades in all of her A Levels, English, philosophy and ethics, and politics at Latymer Upper School in West London.

Last term she combined her university life and acting career with forthcoming roles in There Be Dragons and The Moth Diaries.

In a recent interview she stated:

‘Acting is something I’ve done since I was six years old, performing for my mum and my family in the living room, and I do it because my heart’s in it.

‘I’ll always try to follow my heart into things I love, and modelling is not something I’m dreaming of pursuing forever.”
