Shona McGarty plays frumpy Whitney Dean in Eastenders. She certainly never dresses like this on the soap! The 19-year-old is more often seen in a tracksuit but when she showed up at the ITV studios yesterday she was unrecognisable.
Shona wore a nude fitted dress, white heels and a pleated tan leather belt. She ditched the harsh eyeliner for a more smoky look.
Whitney is going through a difficult time on the Square, she was seeing a pimp and earlier in the year was forced into prostitution.
Shona told Soaplife recently:
‘When I researched the whole area of sex exploitation I found out that these are organised crimes and victims often end up staying with the perpetrators because they fear for the safety of family members.’
