Daybreak’s weather girl Kirsty McCabe lost 2st baby weight after baby Ethan!

Daybreak’s resident weather girl, 35-year-old Scottish Kirsty MCabe, reveals in Closer magazine how she lost 2 stone in just three months after having baby Ethan.

Kirsty admitted that she was nervous of stripping off to just her bikini to show us the results of her hard graft but we definitely think it was worth it. You can see definition on her stomach but she has retained a feminine curvyness.

As well as losing 2st Kirsty shed six inches from her waist, four from her hips and has gone down two cup sizes leaving her with a 34DD-28-37 figure.

Kirsty, who will return to the show next week, followed a Closer diet for three months.

Kirsty told the magazine:

‘Having babies is what our bodies were designed for, but I wanted to show that doesn’t mean you’re stuck with a mummy tummy.’

‘It’s not perfect, but I think my body looks pretty good for someone who had a baby five months ago.’

She added: ‘I feel more sexy when I’m toned and if you feel confident you look good, too.’

Kirsty married South African architect Renato Marchio in July 2008. Although she was a healthy size 12 before getting pregnant she was worried about gaining pregnancy weight.

‘When I was a student I went up to 14st and a size 18. It took me a year to lose weight and I’ve been quite sensitive about my body since then. Once I got a proper bump around six months, I felt womanly and sexy.’

Husband Renato has it sussed, he boosts her confidence regularly by telling her that he fancies her all the time! Well done Renato!

So how did Kirsty do it? By a healthy diet, aerobics and body combat classes twice a week, working out with a personal trainer once a week and combining Pilates, running and strength training with resistance bands.

Kirsty says she’s been getting parenting advice from her Daybreak colleagues Lorraine Kelly and Kate Garraway, and is looking forward to working again.

She said: ‘I’m looking forward to working with everyone again. Ethan and I have been watching it every day, but I wonder if he’ll recognise me when I’m doing the weather?’
