Best bikini body: Kelly Brook, Jennifer Lopez and Pippa Middleton top the poll

At a time of year when most women are worrying about their body in advance of their holiday it might surprise people to realise that in a poll to determine which female celebrity has the best bikini body, number one and two are both ladies with curves.

In a poll of women and men carried out by Gillette Venus Kelly Brook was found to have the best bikini body while Jennifer Lopez was placed at number 2. Could it be that the reasons these two are at the top is because they have both recently been in the papers in bikinis though? Kelly was pictured in Italy in a blue bikini last month while JLo was photographed recently in Miami.

It will be interesting to see how the three of them age. Jennifer Lopez and Pippa Middleton famously work hard to maintain their bodies whille Brook admits that she does nothing, rarely works out and is lucky that ‘it all goes in the right places’ but that does not last long when gravity sets in!

Pippa Middleton came in at number three, despite rarely being seen in a bikini. This was because of the men’s vote with women placing Pippa’s older sister Kate at number three.

The Daily Mail quote behavioural psychologist Donna Dawson as saying:

‘Kelly Brook’s perfectly symmetrical statistics of 34-24-34 give her a waist-to-hip ratio of 0.7, which falls within the deemed optimum range for female attractiveness in Western society.

‘She wins with women because her curvy shape represents a figure women can attain, and for men her hour-glass shape communicates good health to the primordial male brain.’
